Our first event for 2026 was attended by 28 players and considering the weather over the last few months was an excellent turn out.
After a full English breakfast, the golfers set out in chilly overcast and very blustery conditions. The Course was in exceptional condition as a great deal of work has been done by the Team there.
Our winner of the day was Chris Miller with a very impressive 39 points.
Congratulations to him and being the first name on our new Winter Warm Up Trophy called The Foxley Trophy, kindly donated by our sponsor of the day and Vice-Captain Tony McClean. Bottles of wine were presented to the Winner, 2nd and 3rd places, nearest the PIN’s and longest drive.
Thank you to the nine who attended the meal in the evening at The Farmhouse with BBQ pulled Beef rolls, chips and slaw, followed by cheese and biscuits.
Our next event is at The Drift on 23rd April (St George’s Day) and I look forward to seeing you there.
Happy Golfing Jo
